Before any final assessment, students know that there will always be a mock assessment the week before. This gives students an understanding of how, why and what they are being assessed on.
Where possible, the mocks are also videoed. Students will peer assess each other. I try to ensure students can watch the video back so that they can self assess. We play 'spot the difference' between the two assessments.
