Active Learning & Plickers

Active Learning & Plickers

Active learning lends itself well to the language classroom, as it maximises the amount of language produced by each learner. I will make an effort to plan more pair and group activities when developing all of the four skills.

I'm also quite taken with Plicker. Will try this with quizzes and then increase the bank of questions. When combined with Stretch questioning it looks like a poerful tool.

I always plan my language lessons to facilitate active learning in which we have discussions and learners are encouraged to write on white boards (grammar practice). I would like to try Plickers in my classroom as an AFL activity as it gives broader scope for checking individual learning.
