In addition to the standard mock exam, it would be a good idea to assign your learners a group presentation to complete. This will be helpful as it will allow those who struggle in written assessments to demonstrate their knowledge and also improve confidence/peer learning as they can collaborate and lean on each other. Should be done in timed conditions.
