Summative assessments will need to be examined for key skills and requirements to allow for pre-summative assessment planning. Giving learners the chance to practice the skills needed in the final exams in the form of dry runs will enable them to tackle the final exam, and will be a fair way of seeing what progress the learner's have made and what improvements they need to make before completing the summative assessment.
